3 piece socket weld ball valve Description
Three-piece socket welding ball valve consists of a valve body, a valve cover (flange cover), and a ball. It is connected to the pipeline by socket welding (SW) and is suitable for working conditions with high pressure and high sealing requirements.
Core components:
Split valve body: Made of 304/316L stainless steel or forged steel, the pressure rating can reach PN160, and the applicable temperature range is -29℃~350℃;
Floating ball: The surface is mirror polished (Ra≤0.4μm), forming a zero leakage seal with the PTFE valve seat (leakage level VI);
Valve seat structure: Spring preload design to compensate for wear after long-term use, and the sealing surface material can be PTFE or hard alloy.
Connection method:
The socket welding joint complies with the ASME B16.11 standard, is suitable for DN15-DN100 pipelines, and is suitable for high-risk systems such as chemical, oil and gas.
Working principle
Opening and closing mechanism:
Manually rotate the valve stem 90° to drive the ball to rotate to the fully open or fully closed state, with a low flow resistance coefficient (Cv value ≥ 60);
Open: When rotating counterclockwise, the ball channel is aligned with the pipeline, and the medium flows freely;
Close: When rotating clockwise, the ball and the valve seat form a double seal (medium pressure + spring preload).
Sealing mechanism:
The valve seat is made of elastic PTFE material, which can be replaced by a metal hard seal (such as Stellite alloy) under high temperature conditions;
The valve stem is designed with a bottom-mounted design and an inverted sealing structure to prevent the valve stem from rushing out when the valve cavity is abnormally pressurized.
