The F51 duplex stainless steel ball valve is a type of ball valve whose main components, including the intermediate body, left and right valve bodies, ball, and stem, are forged using ASTM A182 F51. It is suitable for high-pressure pipeline transportation systems in environments with high chloride ion content and sulfide content. The material used in this valve is austenitic-ferritic duplex stainless steel, with a similar Chinese grade of 022Cr22Ni5Mo3N. Its main components are 21.0~23.0%Cr, 4.5~6.5%Ni, 2.5~3.5%Mo, and 0.08~0.20%N. To improve its resistance to stress corrosion and pitting corrosion in chloride-rich acidic media, the nitrogen content of this type of steel has recently been increased. Its corrosion resistance is between that of 316 and super austenitic stainless steel containing 5~6% Mo, with a pitting corrosion resistance equivalent of PREN 29~36. It can replace 317L and 317LN, etc.
