The jacketed ball valve is a key device that achieves medium temperature control by adding a jacket structure to the outer layer of the valve body. Its core uses are as follows:

1. Temperature control and medium protection
Insulation and anti-solidification
Steam or insulation medium (such as heat transfer oil) is injected through the jacket layer to maintain the fluidity of high-viscosity media (such as heavy oil and rubber) in the valve to prevent low-temperature solidification and blockage of the pipeline.
‌Typical scenarios‌: oil transportation, chemical colloid raw material processing.
‌Cold insulation and anti-frost‌
Cooling medium (such as liquid nitrogen) is injected into the jacket layer to prevent abnormal pressure caused by gasification of low-temperature media (such as liquid oxygen and liquefied natural gas), and to avoid frost on the outside of the valve body.
‌Case‌: liquefied natural gas storage and transportation, air separation equipment.
‌Two-way temperature control‌
The jacket layer medium can be switched according to the working conditions to achieve heating or cooling functions and adapt to the needs of medium temperature difference changes.
2. Special medium processing
‌High-viscosity medium transportation‌
Designed for high-viscosity media such as asphalt and resin that are easy to solidify at room temperature to ensure smooth transportation.

‌Jacket type‌: integral (high pressure), wafer (limited space) or two-piece (easy maintenance).
‌Media matching‌: For highly corrosive media, a duplex stainless steel valve body + Hastelloy jacket should be selected.
‌Drive mode‌: For high-frequency adjustment, select pneumatic/electric actuator, and the manual type is suitable for intermittent operation.
