PTFE lined globe valve Description
PTFE lined stop valve is a special stop valve with polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) material lined on the inner wall of the valve body or the surface of key components, designed for highly corrosive media. Its core features include:
Corrosion resistance: The PTFE lining layer isolates the medium from the metal valve body and withstands the erosion of acids, alkalis, organic solvents and strong oxidants;
Temperature resistance: The PTFE lining can adapt to the temperature range of -195℃~+200℃, and special modified models support short-term high temperatures up to 250℃;
Low friction coefficient: PTFE surface has excellent lubricity, reducing medium flow resistance and valve disc opening and closing wear.
Structure and material composition
Main structure:
Lining layer: The inner wall of the valve body and valve cover is molded or inlaid with PTFE or other fluoroplastics (such as PFA, FEP), with a thickness of usually 2~5mm;
Valve disc and valve seat: The sealing surface is often welded with hard alloy (such as tungsten carbide), or a full PTFE sealing structure is used to enhance erosion resistance.
Supplementary materials:
Valve stem: Made of 316L stainless steel or monel alloy, nickel-plated or coated with PTFE to improve corrosion resistance;
Packing: Graphite braided packing or PTFE V-ring to ensure dynamic sealing performance of the valve stem.
