Carbon Steel Globe Valve

Carbon steel globe valve is a forced sealing valve made of carbon steel (such as WCB, A105, etc.) as the main material. It realizes medium on-off control through the vertical lifting and lowering movement of the valve disc. It is suitable for the cut-off scenes of medium-high pressure, high temperature and corrosive media. Its core structural features include:

Valve body and valve cover: carbon steel casting or forging process is adopted, with high mechanical strength and corrosion resistance;

Valve disc and valve seat: the sealing surface is welded with hard alloy or flexible graphite material to ensure reliable sealing under high temperature and high pressure;

Drive mode: the valve stem is connected with the handwheel/actuator, and the valve disc is lifted and lowered by threaded transmission.

Structural design
‌Flow channel form‌
‌Straight-through type‌: small pressure drop, suitable for low-pressure and high-flow scenarios‌; ‌Right-angle type‌: the inlet and outlet of the valve body are 90°, saving installation space‌.
‌Sealing system‌
‌Metal hard seal‌: the valve disc and the valve seat are welded with Stellite alloy, which is resistant to high temperature wear‌; ‌Packing seal‌: flexible graphite or PTFE packing is used at the valve stem to prevent medium leakage‌.
‌Drive component‌
‌Handwheel operation‌: suitable for medium and low pressure valves with DN≤200mm‌; ‌Actuator‌: pneumatic/electric drive is suitable for high pressure or remote control requirements‌.

Selection points
‌Pressure matching‌: Select the nominal pressure level (such as PN16/PN40) according to the system working pressure‌;
‌Medium characteristics‌:
Corrosive media should preferably use stainless steel internals (such as 316 valve stems‌);
Fluids containing particles should choose wear-resistant hard seals or ceramic coated valve discs‌;
‌Installation space‌:
Right-angle structure is suitable for space-constrained scenarios‌;
Large diameter (DN≥200mm) is recommended to be equipped with electric actuators to reduce operating torque‌.
