Globe valve for steam line Description
Steam pipeline globe valve is a forced sealing valve designed for high-temperature and high-pressure steam systems. It realizes steam cutoff and flow regulation through the linear motion of the valve disc.
The features of the steam pipeline globe valve include:
High temperature and high pressure resistance: It can withstand the high temperature and high pressure environment in the steam pipeline to ensure long-term stable operation.
Excellent sealing performance: The seals made of special materials ensure good sealing even at high temperatures.
Strong corrosion resistance: The corrosion-resistant materials are selected to adapt to the trace corrosive substances that may be carried by steam and extend the service life.
Compact structure: Reasonable design, easy installation and maintenance, suitable for various complex on-site environments.
Flexible operation: The handwheel or actuator can directly drive the valve stem up and down to open and close the valve, which is easy to operate.
Globe valve for steam line Specification
Design and manufacturing standards:
API 602: Compact structural requirements for high-pressure small-diameter forged steel globe valves;
ASME B16.34: Specifies valve pressure-temperature rating and material selection specifications, suitable for Class 150~2500 high-pressure scenarios;
ISO 10434: International standards specify acceptance requirements for steel valves for the petroleum and natural gas industry.
Inspection requirements:
Sealing test: Tested according to ISO 5208 Class A standard, airtight leakage rate ≤10⁻⁶ mbar·L/s;
Pressure test: Shell strength test at 1.5 times the nominal pressure, no leakage or deformation during the duration;
High temperature durability verification: Simulate the working conditions above 400℃ for cyclic opening and closing tests to verify the life of the sealing surface.

Difference from other globe valves
High temperature and high pressure resistance :
Steam pipeline valves are made of chrome-molybdenum steel, with a maximum temperature resistance of 570°C and an applicable pressure of 25MPa; ordinary globe valves (such as A105 material) are usually ≤350°C in temperature resistance.
Difference in sealing design :
Steam valves prefer hard seals or bellows seals, while ordinary globe valves rely on soft seals (such as PTFE), which are prone to aging and failure at high temperatures;
The bellows structure achieves zero leakage, while ordinary valves rely on packing seals and require regular maintenance.
Applicable media and scenarios :
Steam valves are designed for clean steam, while ordinary globe valves can handle medium containing particles (such as industrial wastewater), but with higher flow resistance;
Steam valves are mostly equipped with electric/pneumatic actuators to adapt to frequent adjustments, while ordinary valves are mainly operated manually
