Double Plate Check Valve

Double-plate check valve is a kind of valve that achieves one-way flow control through two symmetrical semicircular flaps, using fluid pressure or spring-assisted opening and closing, mainly used to prevent backflow of media and protect pipeline equipment safety. Its name comes from the double flap design, suitable for space and weight sensitive industrial scenarios.

1. Main components
Valve body: often made of cast iron, stainless steel, aluminium bronze and other materials, corrosion-resistant and adaptable to high temperature and high pressure environment (such as -196 ℃ ~ 540 ℃).
Double-plate valve: two symmetrical semicircular plates, fixed by the central axis, can be rotated around the axis to achieve rapid opening and closing; sealing surface can be selected from rubber (EPDM/NBR) or metal hard seal (e.g., Staley alloy).
Spring system: Auxiliary valve rapid reset, reduce water hammer impact (such as DN15-DN1200 calibre can be applied).
Connection mode: mostly clamping type, compact structure, convenient installation, suitable for narrow space.
2. Workflow
Forward flow: the medium pushes the double valve flap to rotate open, with minimal flow resistance and high efficiency.
Reverse flow: the fluid reverse pressure or spring force drive valve flap forced to close, blocking the reverse flow.

2. Working temperature: NBR: 0℃～+80℃ EPDM: -10℃～+120℃ VITON: -20℃～+180℃

3. Face to face according to DIN3202K3, ANSI 125/150

4. Flange according to EN1092-2, ANSI 125/150 etc.

5. Testing: DIN3230, API598.

6. Medium: Fresh Water, Sea water, food stuff, all kinds of oil, acid, alkaline liquid etc.

Suggestions for selection
Priority is given to the selection of double-plate scenarios:
Systems where space is limited and frequent start/stop is required;
Scenarios where the medium contains particles or requires corrosion-resistant seals (e.g., chemical pipelines).
Seal type selection:
Rubber seal: suitable for low temperature, clean media (such as water, air);
Metal hard seal: suitable for high temperature, high pressure or corrosive media (such as steam, acid and alkali).
