natural gas check valve Description
Natural gas check valve is a key device to ensure the one-way flow of natural gas pipeline media. It blocks the backflow to prevent equipment damage and safety accidents. It is widely used in long-distance pipelines, gas storage stations and end-user systems.
Core functional characteristics
One-way isolation: Automatic opening and closing depending on the medium pressure, the valve disc closes quickly during reverse flow (closing time ≤0.5 seconds), and the leakage standard reaches ANSI Class VI;
Pressure and corrosion resistance: The valve body is made of 304/316 stainless steel or alloy steel, and the pressure resistance level covers Class 150 to Class 2500 (up to 42.0MPa), and can withstand corrosive media such as H₂S and CO₂;
Low flow resistance design: The flow resistance coefficient of the swing valve disc is ≤0.02MPa, and the lifting valve disc is suitable for high flow rate (≥15m/s) conditions.

Applications
Long-distance pipeline system
Swing check valves are installed at the outlet of the compressor station to prevent high-pressure gas from backflowing and damaging the unit during shutdown;
Fully welded check valves are used at the distribution station to adapt to the 42MPa high-pressure environment and reduce the risk of leakage.
City gas pipeline network
Spring-assisted check valves are installed downstream of the pressure regulating box to block the gas from flowing back to the main pipeline at the user end;
Wafer check valves are installed at the entrance of industrial and commercial users to adapt to the space restrictions of pipelines below DN50.
Special working conditions
316L stainless steel valve body + cryogenic treatment process is used for the low-temperature pipeline (-162℃) of the LNG receiving station;
Monel alloy valve seat is used for sulfur-containing natural gas to resist H₂S stress corrosion cracking.
