rubber check valve Description
Rubber check valve is a type of automatic valve with a rubber disc as the core sealing element. It controls opening and closing through fluid pressure to achieve one-way flow of the medium and prevent backflow. It has a variety of common names in different application scenarios, including:
Duckbill valve: named because the disc is shaped like a duckbill, commonly used in sewage systems;
Back pressure flexible check valve: emphasizes its self-sealing characteristics relying on reverse pressure;
Rubber slow-closing check valve: refers to the function of buffering and silencing when the disc is closed.
Core structure and components
Valve body
Material: cast iron, ductile iron, stainless steel or all-rubber structure, corrosion-resistant and pressure-resistant (suitable for Class 150~300);
Connection method: flange, clamp or clamp connection, suitable for DN50-DN1000 diameter range.
Valve disc
Made of high-quality rubber (such as NBR, EPDM, fluororubber), corrosion-resistant, high-temperature-resistant (-20°C~120°C), and aging-resistant;
Some models use metal skeletons wrapped with rubber to enhance impact resistance.

Advantages
High adaptability: The all-rubber structure can wrap solid particles to pass through and avoid jamming; Long life: Corrosion-resistant rubber and reinforced structure design, service life ≥ 8 years; Low maintenance: No lubrication required, only regular cleaning of sediments (cycle 6-12 months).
Selection and installation recommendations
Key points for selection
Choose the rubber formula according to the corrosiveness of the medium (such as EPDM resistant to ozone, fluororubber resistant to strong acid);
For high temperature scenes, choose heat-resistant rubber (such as silicone rubber resistant to 120°C).
Installation requirements
Horizontal installation, ensure that the direction of the valve body arrow is consistent with the flow direction of the medium;
Avoid installation in locations susceptible to mechanical extrusion or severe vibration.
