API 594 swing check valve Description
API 594 swing check valve is a type of one-way flow control valve that complies with the American Petroleum Institute (API) standard. It is designed for industrial pipelines such as petroleum and chemical industries. It is opened and closed by rotating the valve disc around a fixed axis to prevent the medium from flowing back. Its core design follows the API 594 standard and is suitable for thin-sheet, lug and double flange structures.
Core structure and design
Valve body and connection form:
Valve body material: commonly used WCB, CF8, CF3 and other cast steel or stainless steel, suitable for high temperature and high pressure (such as Class150~2500, temperature range -196℃~540℃);
Connection method: wafer type (shortened structure length), double flange or welding, suitable for ASME B16.5, GB/T 9113 and other standards.
Valve flap and sealing system:
Single flap or double flap swing design, double flap structure can reduce water hammer effect;
The sealing surface is made of hard alloy (such as 13Cr) or body hardening treatment to ensure ANSI Class VI leakage level;
Spring-assisted closing (such as torsion spring) to achieve fast response (closing time <0.5 seconds).

Pressure range: Class150~2500 (up to PN100/42.0MPa);
Applicable media: water, steam, oil, acidic media (such as nitric acid, acetic acid) and strong oxidizing fluids;
Size range: DN50~1500mm (NPS 2"~60");
Installation direction: Can be installed in horizontal or vertical pipelines.
