The UAE customer arrived at GNEE Group yesterday to discuss the details of the purchase of 200pcs DN200 gate valves.
A gate valve is a type of valve that uses a gate or wedge-shaped disc that moves perpendicular to the fluid to open or stop the flow of fluid in a pipeline.
Gate valves are the most common type of valve used in all process equipment and are linear motion valves.
In use, it is either in the fully open or fully closed position.
When a gate valve is fully open, the valve plate of the gate valve is completely removed from the fluid and there is little resistance to flow. As a result, there is essentially no drop in pressure as the fluid passes through the gate valve.
For proper sealing, there needs to be 360° of surface contact between the valve plate and seat when the valve is fully closed. Gate valves are not intended for regulating or throttling because precise control cannot be achieved.
High velocity water flow in half-open valves can cause erosion of the valve plate and seat surfaces, as well as vibration and noise.
