Hydraulic Ball Valve is composed of components such as the ball, seat, stem, handle, and sealing ring. Among these, the ball is the main component, typically made of materials like cast iron, cast steel, or stainless steel. The ball has a spherical passage inside, and the flow of liquid is controlled by rotating the ball. The seat is the sealing component of the ball, usually made of materials such as polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) or rubber. The stem connects the handle to the ball, and the rotation of the handle controls the ball's movement. The sealing ring ensures the valve's sealing performance.
Hydraulic ball valve operates by applying external force to the upper end of the stem, causing the closing element (the ball) to rotate 90° around the valve body's centerline. This rotation enables functions such as cutting off, connecting, distributing, or changing the flow direction of the medium. When the ball valve is open, the ball's passage aligns with the inlet and outlet, allowing smooth flow with minimal resistance. When the valve is rotated 90°, the ball's surface fully blocks the inlet and outlet, closing the valve and stopping the medium flow.
