There are mainly the following common reasons:
1. The low processing accuracy of the wedge seal ring causes internal leakage of the carbon steel gate valve. As long as you choose a gate valve of a big brand, the quality of the general spare parts is relatively good, so that the low processing accuracy of the seal ring will not occur.
2. Unstable production and operating conditions lead to internal leakage of the gate valve. The gate valve has relatively high requirements for the working environment. If the pressure and temperature environment are unstable and the changes are too large, the sealing ring will have to withstand a large impact pressure, which will be very difficult. It is prone to deformation, which ultimately leads to valve leakage.
3. The poor quality of valve maintenance leads to internal leakage of the gate valve. Some workers do not clean the sealing ring sealing surface when repairing the valve. The presence of impurities affects the operation of the valve. If things go on like this, the sealing surface will be scratched, which will lead to valve leakage.
4. The medium corrodes the wedge sealing ring, causing the gate valve to leak. If the valve operates for a long time, under the influence of the medium, the sealing ring is easily corroded. When the corrosion reaches a certain level, the sealing ring is damaged, and the gate valve leaks.
5. The valve body is defective. If the valve body has problems such as pores, slag inclusions, cracks, blisters, etc., then the gate valve is prone to leakage during use.
