What is ptfe lined plug valve

The PTFE-lined plug valve is a corrosion-resistant plug valve that uses metal (cast iron, carbon steel, stainless steel) as the valve body base, with the inner wall and plug surface lined with fluoroplastics (PTFE, FEP, PFA, etc.). It achieves media flow control by rotating the PTFE-lined plug. It combines the high strength of a metal valve body with the strong corrosion resistance and high/low temperature resistance of fluoroplastics. The plug and the PTFE-lined sealing surface of the valve body fit tightly, resulting in low flow resistance and rapid opening and closing, making it suitable for highly corrosive media such as strong acids, strong alkalis, and organic solvents.

PTFE Lined Plug Valve Product Features

  • Corrosion Resistance: PTFE-lined plug valves are particularly suitable for corrosive media, such as aqua regia of various concentrations, sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, hydrofluoric acid, organic acids, strong alkalis, and other corrosive gases and liquids. This is due to the high-molecular materials used in the internal lining, such as F46 and F3, which effectively resist corrosion.
  • Good Sealing Performance: Some models of PTFE-lined plug valves, such as the X43F/P, XD63F/R, and XC63F/R types, use a specially designed valve seat bushing (such as PTFE or para-polystyrene) and a steel plug body to form a sealing pair, resulting in good sealing performance and a long service life.
  • Self-Lubricating and Flexible Rotation: Due to the excellent properties of the sealing material, PTFE-lined plug valves are self-lubricating during rotation, ensuring flexible rotation and reducing friction and wear.
