What is Micro-resistance Slow-closing Check Valve

Dec 29, 2025 Leave a message

A micro resistance slow closing check valve (MRSCV) is a check valve equipped with a slow-closing mechanism. This mechanism utilizes a buffer rod and a buffer spring to assist the valve disc in closing. When the medium flows at a high velocity, the valve disc is subjected to inertial forces, making rapid closure difficult and potentially leading to instantaneous pressure differentials or even water hammer. The MRSCV, however, slows down the medium flow rate, reduces instantaneous pressure differentials, and prevents water hammer.

Features

MRSCV has the following features:

1. High Precision: The slow-closing device reduces the medium flow rate, allowing the valve to close slowly and ensuring accurate flow control.

2. Slow-Closing Device: A buffer rod and buffer spring assist the valve in closing, reducing instantaneous pressure differential and water hammer.

3. Energy Saving and Environmental Protection: MRSCV reduces instantaneous pressure differential and energy loss, thereby improving pipeline efficiency and saving energy.

4. Good Stability: MRSCV uses metal seals, providing better stability and reliability in harsh environments such as high temperature, high pressure, and corrosive media.

Classification

The main classification methods for MRSCVs are:

1. By structure: including check valves and two-way valves.

2. By actuation method: including manual, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electric.

3. By connection method: including flange connection, threaded connection, clamp connection, etc.

4. By medium: including gas valves and liquid valves.

Applications

MRSCVs are widely used in various fluid control systems and equipment, such as:

1. Hydraulic pipelines: MRSCVs can reduce medium flow velocity and instantaneous pressure differentials, ensuring the normal operation of pipelines.

2. Hydropower: MRSCVs can prevent water hammer, protecting the safe operation of hydroelectric generators and dams.

3. Petrochemical industry: MRSCVs are characterized by high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, and pressure differential resistance, and are widely used in petrochemical systems for flow regulation, pressure control, and medium shut-off.

4. Medical devices: MRSCVs are suitable for use in medical devices such as drug delivery systems, ventilators, and blood transfusion machines, featuring high precision and high stability.
