The composition type exhaust valve has a cylindrical valve body, which mainly contains a set of stainless steel balls, rods, and plugs. This valve is installed at the pump outlet or in the water supply and distribution pipeline to remove large amounts of air accumulated in the pipe, or to release small amounts of air accumulated at higher points in the pipeline into the atmosphere, thereby improving the efficiency of the pipeline and pump. Furthermore, in the event of negative pressure in the pipeline, this valve quickly draws in outside air to protect the pipeline from damage caused by negative pressure.
Working Principle of Composition Type Exhaust Valve
When gas overflows from the system, it rises along the pipes and eventually accumulates at the highest point of the system. The composition type exhaust valve is typically installed at this highest point. When gas enters the valve chamber, it accumulates at the top. As the amount of gas increases, the pressure rises. When the gas pressure exceeds the system pressure, the gas causes the water level in the chamber to drop, causing the float to descend and open the exhaust port. After the gas is exhausted, the water level rises, and the float rises, closing the exhaust port. Similarly, when negative pressure occurs in the system, the water level in the valve chamber drops, and the exhaust port opens. Since the external atmospheric pressure is greater than the system pressure, atmospheric air enters the system through the exhaust port, preventing the harmful effects of negative pressure. Tightening the valve cap on the valve body stops the exhaust valve from venting. Normally, the valve cap should be in the open position. The exhaust valve can also be used in conjunction with an isolation valve for easier maintenance of the composition type exhaust valve.
