Forged steel ball valves are made from high-quality carbon steel, alloy steel, or stainless steel processed using forging techniques (such as free forging and die forging) as the main material. They achieve the shut-off or connection of pipeline media through the rotation of the ball. Their core advantage lies in the high density, high strength, and excellent mechanical properties imparted by the forging process, eliminating casting defects (such as porosity and sand holes). They can withstand high pressure, impact, and frequent operation, making them suitable for applications with stringent requirements for valve body strength, such as those in the petroleum and chemical industries. Compared to cast steel ball valves, they have higher pressure ratings and a more compact structure, but large-diameter versions are more difficult to manufacture and slightly more expensive. They must comply with industry standards such as GB/T 12237 and API 6D to ensure sealing reliability and service life under high-pressure conditions.

The working principle of a forged steel ball valve is to open or close the valve by rotating the valve stem. Typically a full-bore ball valve or 90-degree angle switch, it is lightweight, compact, and can be made in large diameters. It offers reliable sealing, a simple structure, and easy maintenance. The sealing surface and the ball are constantly in a closed state, making it less susceptible to erosion by the medium. It is widely used in various industries. Forged steel ball valves are classified as: low-pressure forged steel ball valves and high-pressure forged steel ball valves.

Main Features:

High Pressure Resistance: Forged steel ball valves are made of forged steel, possessing high strength and pressure resistance, suitable for high-pressure pipeline systems.

Corrosion Resistance: The ball, seat, and other components are made of special materials, exhibiting strong corrosion resistance, suitable for corrosive media.

High Temperature Resistance: Through special material treatment, forged steel ball valves exhibit significant high-temperature resistance, suitable for high-temperature industrial systems.

Good Sealing: Forged steel ball valves employ a reliable sealing design; the tight seal between the ball and seat effectively prevents media leakage.

Easy Operation: Forged steel ball valves have a simple structure, are easy and flexible to operate, and are easy to install and maintain.

Application Areas

Forged steel ball valves are widely used in various industries due to their excellent performance, including but not limited to:

Petroleum Industry: Used in oil and gas pipelines, oil storage tanks, and various equipment and pipelines in refining processes, as well as blowout preventers, fire-fighting water systems, pressure vessels, etc.

Chemical Industry: Used in various reaction vessels, hot oil equipment, and waste gas treatment equipment, such as boilers, high-pressure steam pipelines, and pipelines for petroleum, gas, and chemicals.

Natural Gas Industry: Used in gas transportation, storage, and compression, especially in natural gas pipelines, where forged steel ball valves are widely used.

Food Industry: Used in steam processing in beverage and beer production, and in equipment for stirring, filling, and cleaning during beverage production.
