What are high performance butterfly valves

High-performance butterfly valve is an upgraded type of butterfly valve based on the double eccentric structure design. By optimizing the sealing form and transmission mechanism, the sealing performance, wear resistance and adaptability to working conditions are significantly improved. Its core goal is to meet the industrial needs of high temperature, high pressure, high vacuum and harsh media environment through low friction opening and closing and two-way zero leakage sealing.

1. Core characteristics

Double eccentric structure

The valve stem axis deviates from the center of the butterfly plate and the center of the pipeline at the same time, reducing the friction stroke between the butterfly plate and the valve seat, eliminating the scratching phenomenon at the beginning of opening and closing, and reducing the operating torque (up to 1/3 of the traditional butterfly valve);
The butterfly plate is separated from the valve seat at the moment of opening, and quickly fits when closed, reducing wear and extending the life of the seal (up to 1 million opening and closing cycles).
‌Composite sealing technology‌

‌Sealing material‌: Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), silicone rubber or metal hard seal combination, suitable for -100℃ to 300℃ temperature range;
‌Movable valve seat design‌: The rubber seal is embedded in the flexible lip valve seat, which automatically compensates for wear after being pressurized to achieve two-way zero leakage (leakage rate ≤ 0.01%).
‌Adapt to complex working conditions‌

Applicable to high pressure (up to Class 600), high vacuum (1×10⁻⁶ Pa) and highly corrosive media (such as acid, alkali, organic solvents);
Adapt to extreme temperature and wear environment by changing the valve seat material (such as metal hard seal + graphite composite layer)

2. Applications
‌Energy and chemical industry: high-temperature steam pipelines (300℃), highly corrosive media delivery systems;
‌Vacuum system: ultra-high vacuum environment control for semiconductor manufacturing and air separation equipment;
‌Municipal engineering: flow regulation of high-pressure water supply and drainage networks (DN≥500);
‌Special industries: clean food and pharmaceutical pipelines (composite sealing materials that must meet FDA standards).
3. Selection points‌ ‌Sealing material‌ ‌PTFE or rubber soft seals (corrosion-resistant, low friction) are selected for conventional working conditions; ‌Stainless steel + graphite composite hard seals are selected for high temperature and high pressure.
‌Connection method‌ ‌Wafer type (D72F series) is suitable for compact space; flange type (D342F series) is suitable for high pressure and large diameter.
‌Drive mode‌ ‌Manual worm gear box (suitable for DN200~DN1000), electric actuator (automatic control) or pneumatic control.
