Stainless steel floating ball valves have a 90-degree rotation action. The plug body is a ball with a circular through-hole or channel along its axis. Stainless steel ball valves are mainly used in pipelines for shut-off, distribution, and changing the flow direction of media. They require only a 90-degree rotation and a very small torque to achieve a tight seal.
Stainless steel floating ball valves are suitable for on/off and shut-off applications. Stainless steel flanged ball valves use high-molecular polymer materials such as polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) and para-polystyrene (PSP), offering good sealing performance, but the material is relatively soft.
Due to the softness of the material, achieving a certain sealing pressure inevitably increases the opening and closing torque. Stainless steel valves are suitable for various media such as water, steam, oil, nitric acid, acetic acid, oxidizing media, and urea.
