The manual lug-type knife gate valve adopts a two-piece structure, including the valve body, gate, and U-shaped sealing strip. Grooves with elastic U-shaped sealing strips are located on both sides of the valve body and at the bottom of the central cavity. When the valve is closed, the gate moves downward, and the bottom of the gate contacts the sealing strip, compressing it into the groove to achieve a seal between the valve body and the gate.
When the knife gate valve is opened, the gate moves upward, and the bottom edge of the gate disengages from the sealing strip, causing the sealing strip to spring up and become flush with the groove. The valve body features a scraper design to prevent media sediment from accumulating in the grooves of the valve body's central cavity during use, preventing blockages and residues, facilitating pipeline cleaning, and effectively improving the sealing performance of the knife gate valve to prevent leakage when the valve is closed.

Features of Manual Lug-Type Knife Gate Valve:
1. The knife gate valve consists of a narrow valve body and a sliding gate.
2. The gate has sharp cutting edges that can displace or cut solid particles in the fluid medium.
3. The polished surface of the gate enhances its penetrating power and effectively protects the service life of the packing and valve seat.
4. A gate clamping device is installed at the bottom of the valve body, which can safely support and press the gate against the valve seat, ensuring a tight and effective closure.
5. Its structure can be made with either a hard seal or a soft seal.
