How does a wafer check valve work

The wafer check valve is driven to open and close by the medium flow pressure, and uses the one-way valve disc structure to prevent the medium from flowing back. The specific operation mode is as follows:

1. Core operation mechanism

Medium pressure drives opening

When the medium flows forward, the fluid pressure pushes the valve disc (such as single disc, double disc or butterfly disc) to overcome the spring force or gravity to open the valve.

After the valve disc is opened, it fits the inner wall of the valve body to form a low flow resistance channel and reduce pressure loss.

Automatic closing to block backflow

When the medium stops flowing or flows back, the valve disc closes quickly under the action of spring force, gravity or reverse pressure, and the sealing surface presses the valve seat to completely block the backflow.

The double disc structure is linked by the hinge shaft, and the two discs are closed synchronously, with a faster response speed.

Lifting wafer check valve

The valve disc rises and falls along the vertical axis, suitable for vertical or horizontal pipelines.

Spring loading design: Force the valve disc to close to avoid sealing failure at low flow rate.

‌Single-flap swing type‌: The valve disc rotates around the hinge axis, suitable for medium and low pressure pipelines‌.

The valve disc and valve seat use metal hard seals or rubber/PTFE soft seals, and the leakage level can reach ANSI VI level‌.

The double-flap structure reduces the closing impact through spring buffering and extends the life of the valve‌.
