CF3M Stainless Steel Globe Valve

Oct 29, 2025 Leave a message

The CF3M stainless steel globe valve is a shut-off type valve whose body and core components are made of stainless steel. It controls flow passage by raising/lowering the disc along the seat axis.

Adopting a "stainless steel body + disc + stem + actuation mechanism (manual/pneumatic/electric)" design, it leverages stainless steel's corrosion resistance and mechanical strength to deliver advantages including "multi-media corrosion resistance," "reliable sealing," and "compatibility with clean/harsh environments." Compliant with GB/T 12235 and API 602 standards, it is widely used in pipeline systems requiring high corrosion resistance and media purity, such as chemical processing, pharmaceuticals, food production, and water treatment industries.

Working Principle of CF3M Stainless Steel Globe Valve

The sealing mechanism of stainless steel globe valves relies on stem pressure to ensure tight contact between the disc sealing surface and seat sealing surface, thereby blocking media flow. This sealing is achieved by applying torque axially to the stem, which drives the disc to move vertically along the centerline of the seat. This vertical movement guarantees complete contact between the disc and seat sealing surfaces, preventing media leakage through any potential gaps.

Features of CF3M Stainless Steel Globe Valve

Simpler structure than gate valves‌: Easier to manufacture and maintain.

Excellent sealing performance‌: The sealing surfaces are less prone to wear and scratches. During opening/closing, there is no relative sliding between the valve and body sealing surfaces, minimizing wear and scratches. This ensures superior sealing performance and a long service life.

Shorter stroke‌: The valve's height is smaller than that of gate valves due to the minimal opening/closing stroke, but its structural length is longer.

High operating torque‌: Requires significant effort to open/close, with prolonged operation time.

High fluid resistance‌: The tortuous flow path inside the valve increases fluid resistance and power consumption.

Unidirectional flow‌:

For nominal pressures ‌PN ≤16MPa‌, ‌downward flow‌ (medium flows from top to bottom) is typically used.

For ‌PN ≥20MPa‌, ‌upward flow‌ (medium flows from bottom to top) is employed to enhance sealing capability.
Note: The medium can only flow in one direction; flow direction cannot be reversed.
