Description
Resilient wedge gate valve is a special design of the gate valve. Its gate adopts an elastic structure, which compensates the angle deviation of the sealing surface through slight deformation to improve the sealing reliability. It is mainly used in petrochemical, power and other scenarios to cut off or connect oil, steam and other media.
Core structure and design
Gate structure:
Elastic wedge gate: The middle of the gate is slotted or a flexible connection process is used to allow the gate to produce a slight deformation during the closing process and adapt to the angle error of the sealing surface;
Rigid gate (comparison item): Traditional integral casting, high sealing surface processing accuracy requirements, easy to cause leakage due to angle deviation.
Sealing system:
Metal hard seal: The valve seat and gate are made of stainless steel or hard alloy, resistant to high temperature (≤200℃) and high pressure (PN10~PN40);
Soft seal combination: Some models are combined with rubber or PTFE sealing rings to achieve zero leakage, but the temperature resistance is limited (≤120℃).
Drive mode:
Supports manual, electric, pneumatic and gear transmission. Large-sized valves are often equipped with thrust bearings to reduce operating torque.
