API600 OS&Y Cast Steel Gate Valve

‌API600 OS&Y cast steel gate valve‌ is a steel gate valve that complies with the ‌API 600 standard‌. It adopts an ‌outside screw and yoke (OS&Y)‌ structure. The valve body is made of cast steel (such as WCB, LCB or CF8M). It is mainly used for medium cutoff control of high-pressure and high-temperature pipelines such as oil and natural gas. Its core standards include:

‌API 600‌: Standardizes the design, material and test requirements of carbon steel/alloy steel gate valves.
‌ASME B16.34‌: Defines pressure-temperature levels and supports Class 150~2500 (up to 42MPa).

Structural characteristics ‌Outside screw and yoke design (OS&Y)‌

The valve stem is exposed and rises and falls synchronously with the gate. The valve stem thread and handwheel are used to open and close, which is convenient for intuitively judging the valve status.
The yoke supports the valve stem transmission mechanism to enhance operational stability.
‌ Bolted Bonnet (BB) ‌
The bonnet is connected to the valve body by bolts to ensure high-pressure sealing and can be disassembled for maintenance. ‌ The upper sealing seat is set at the valve stem to prevent the medium from penetrating into the packing area when fully open, thus extending the packing life. ‌ Seal and gate design ‌
The gate adopts an elastic single gate (H type) ‌, which compensates for the wear of the sealing surface through micro-deformation and is suitable for high temperature and high pressure conditions. ‌ The sealing surface can be selected from carbide cladding (such as Stellite 6) or soft sealing materials (graphite/PTFE), and the leakage level reaches API 598 standard ‌.

Applications
Petrochemical industry: Opening and closing of crude oil and natural gas pipelines and emergency shut-off, the pressure resistance level is suitable for high-pressure transmission.
Thermal power generation: Main steam pipeline (≤500℃) and boiler water supply system, maintaining sealing stability at high temperature.
Industrial system: Pipeline control containing particles or corrosive media, requiring hard seals or special alloy materials.
