Cast Iron Flanged Gate Valve

Cast iron flange gate valve is a valve used in pipeline systems. Its main function is to control the opening, closing and cutting off of fluids (liquids, gases, etc.). It is installed in the pipeline system through flange connection and has the following characteristics and components:

Structural features
Flange connection: The valve body has standard flanges at both ends, which are fastened to the pipeline flanges by bolts. The seal is reliable and easy to install and disassemble. It is suitable for high-pressure and large-diameter working conditions.
Gate design: The wedge-shaped gate plate is sealed by pressing the inclined surface, and the parallel double gate plate is adaptive to the sealing surface through the spring or top wedge structure, which is suitable for different media (clean water, oil, steam, etc.).
Valve stem type: The valve stem of the rising stem structure is exposed with the opening height, which is convenient for observing the valve status and is mostly used for ground installation; the valve stem of the concealed stem structure is built-in, the height is fixed, and it saves space. It is suitable for underground or narrow areas.

Maintenance and selection points ‌
‌Maintenance requirements‌:

Regularly clean the valve cavity sediment and check the wear of the gate and valve seat sealing surface;
When out of service for a long time, keep it in a fully open or fully closed state to avoid adhesion of the sealing surface.
‌Selection suggestions‌:

For medium containing particles, knife-type gate structure is preferred, and wedge-type seal can be selected for clean fluids;
For corrosive environments, ductile iron valve body + flange rubber gasket combination is recommended
