Fire Fighting Gate Valve

Fire fighting gate valve is a shutoff valve with the gate as the core opening and closing part. The full opening or closing of the pipeline medium is achieved through the lifting and lowering movement of the gate perpendicular to the fluid direction. It does not have a flow regulation function. Its core function is to reliably cut off the flow of fluid. It is suitable for scenes such as water pump outlet pipes, water suction pipes and fire water supply networks in fire protection systems.

‌Key components‌

‌Valve body and gate: The valve body is mostly made of ductile iron, stainless steel or high-temperature resistant alloy (such as chrome-molybdenum steel), and the gate is divided into wedge-type (metal hard seal) and parallel (anti-particle jamming) structures; ‌

Valve stem and drive‌: The valve stem supporting the lifting of the gate is divided into two forms: ‌Explicit stem‌ (exposed valve stem, intuitive opening and closing status) and ‌Concealed stem‌ (built-in valve stem, suitable for concealed projects); ‌

Sealing system‌: The elastic gate design can compensate for the machining error of the sealing surface, and graphite filler or hard alloy surfacing improves high-temperature sealing performance. ‌Technical features‌
‌High temperature resistance and water hammer resistance‌: The patented lifting block and hammer elimination device (such as sliding plate + buffer spring) can reduce water hammer impact and adapt to the transient high-pressure working conditions of the fire protection system; ‌

Low flow resistance design‌: The flow channel is completely unobstructed when fully opened, and the pressure loss can be ignored; ‌

High leakage level‌: The combination of forced sealing and medium self-sealing can reach the leakage level of VI, meeting the stringent requirements of the fire protection system.
