Electric Knife Gate Valve

Electric knife gate valve is an automated valve that drives the blade-shaped gate to move vertically through an electric actuator to achieve fluid on-off. Its core function is full-open or full-close operation, and is suitable for the cut-off control of fiber-containing, particle-containing and high-viscosity media (such as sewage, pulp, slag, etc.).

Core structure and components‌
‌Valve body and gate‌:

‌Valve body‌: Made of cast steel, stainless steel or alloy, designed as a full-bore flow channel to reduce flow resistance, suitable for high pressure difference (up to PN40/Class 2500) and corrosive media;
‌Gate‌: A blade-shaped thin structure (usually 3-6mm thick), with a shearing function, can cut fibers and particles, and the material can be selected from carbide or surface sprayed with wear-resistant coating.
‌Drive device‌:

‌Electric actuator‌: Integrated motor, reduction mechanism (worm gear or gear set) and stroke controller, supports remote PLC/DCS signal control;
‌Valve stem transmission‌: The valve stem is driven up and down by the electric actuator to drive the gate to open and close accurately.
‌Sealing design‌:

‌Self-sealing and forced sealing‌:
‌Self-sealing‌: Relying on the medium pressure to press the gate against the valve seat (such as O-shaped elastic valve seat) to achieve sealing;
‌Forced sealing‌: The gate is forced to fit the valve seat through an external driving force, which is suitable for low-pressure or no medium pressure scenarios.
The sealing surface is made of carbide or elastic material (EPDM/NBR), and the leakage rate meets the Class VI standard.
