Y-type check valve is a valve that realizes unidirectional flow control through the deadweight of the valve disc or the spring reset force. Its characteristic feature is that the valve body is designed with a Y-shaped flow channel, which can significantly reduce the flow resistance and the erosion of the sealing surface by the medium.
Y-type check valves are widely used in the following fields due to their low flow resistance design, fast closing ability and high pressure resistance:
Petrochemical and energy transportation
Used in liquefied natural gas (LNG) pipelines and oil and gas storage and transportation systems to prevent oil and gas backflow from causing equipment damage or safety accidents;
Adapted to high-temperature and high-pressure steam pipelines (such as the main steam system of thermal power plants), with a temperature resistance of up to 550°C, protecting steam turbines and boiler equipment.
Water treatment and municipal engineering
Control the direction of water flow in water plants and sewage treatment plants to prevent sewage backflow from polluting clean water sources;
Reduce water hammer effect in building water supply and drainage systems (especially high-rise buildings) to avoid the risk of pipeline rupture.
Power and industrial systems
Prevent medium backflow in circulating cooling water systems of nuclear power and thermal power plants to ensure the safe operation of pump groups and heat exchange equipment;
Isolate corrosive medium backflow in chemical reaction devices, and use stainless steel valve bodies and hard sealing structures to extend service life.
Marine Engineering and Special Environment
In seawater desalination systems and ship ballast water management, 316L stainless steel valve bodies and EPDM seals are used to resist seawater corrosion;

Selection and maintenance specifications
Key points for selection
Pressure matching: Forged steel is preferred for high-pressure scenarios above Class 300, and cast steel or brass can be selected for low-pressure scenarios;
Medium adaptation: 316L stainless steel valve body + fluororubber seal ring is required for corrosive media;
Installation direction: The lifting type needs to be installed vertically, and the swing type can be installed horizontally or vertically (the horizontality of the shaft must be ensured).
Maintenance recommendations
Check the wear of the sealing surface (groove depth ≤ 0.1mm) and the flexibility of the guide sleeve every year;
Clean the valve cavity every 6 months for media containing solid particles to prevent jamming
