Pressure-sealed swing check valve is a type of valve that utilizes a rotating disc to achieve check function. Its opening/closing mechanism resembles that of lift check valves, relying on fluid pressure and disc weight‌. However, the distinctive feature of pressure-sealed swing check valves lies in their operational principle: the disc opens under forward flow pressure and closes under its own weight combined with reverse flow pressure‌.

 

Working Principle:

The closing element of a pressure-sealed swing check valve is a disc or disk designed to match the pipe diameter and suspended within the valve cavity. When the fluid flows in the forward direction, the disc opens under the pressure of the fluid; when the pressure decreases, the disc closes under its own weight and the pressure of the counterflowing fluid. Its unique rotary motion and streamlined internal channel design result in low flow resistance, making it particularly suitable for large-diameter pipes.
