Wafer Style Butterfly Valve

Wafer butterfly valve is a valve fixed between two pipe flanges by studs. Its butterfly plate rotates 0°~90° around the axis to realize opening and closing control. It has the characteristics of compact structure, light weight (weight is only 30%~50% of the same specification gate valve) and fast operation. The core design includes:

Valve body material: gray cast iron (HT200/HT250), ductile iron (QT450-10) or stainless steel, suitable for DN50~DN600 diameter pipes.
‌Connection method‌: No self-contained flange, clamped between pipe flanges by long bolts, saving installation space but ensuring flange alignment.
‌Sealing form‌:
‌Soft seal‌: The edge of the butterfly plate is coated with rubber or PTFE sealing ring, the leakage level at room temperature reaches VI level (≤0.1%×DN), and the applicable temperature is -20℃~150℃.
Hard seal: The butterfly plate and valve seat are welded with hard alloy (such as Stellite), with a temperature resistance of ≤425℃ and a pressure resistance of up to PN25 (2.5MPa).

Performance characteristics

Advantages of fluid control
When fully open, the thickness of the butterfly plate is the only flow resistance, the pressure drop is reduced to 1/3 of the same specification gate valve, and the flow regulation linearity is excellent.

The three-eccentric structure (such as HH44X model) achieves zero friction opening and closing, and the service life is 3~5 times longer than that of traditional butterfly valves.

‌Heat resistance and corrosion resistance
The hard seal model is suitable for medium containing particles (such as sulfur-containing oil and gas, fly ash), and the wear-resistant coating can withstand erosion at a flow rate of ≤15m/s.

The epoxy resin spray valve body is resistant to acid and alkali corrosion, and the salt spray test is ≥1000 hours without rust.

‌Easy installation and maintenance
The clamp-type connection reduces the installation space by 40% compared with the flange type, but a torque wrench is required to control the bolt preload (recommended value: carbon steel bolt 70~100N·m).

The removable valve plate design supports online replacement of the seal ring, and the maintenance cycle is extended to 3~5 years.
