Fire Protection Butterfly Valves

Fire protection butterfly valve is specially designed for fire protection system. It has high temperature fusing and closing functions and signal feedback functions. It is mainly used to control the emergency cut-off of pipeline media in fire scenes to prevent the spread of fire. Its core features include:

Fire resistance: The valve is made of stainless steel or carbon steel, and the shell fire resistance time is ≥90 minutes (in accordance with GB/T 24918 standard);

Signal linkage: Built-in micro switch, which can transmit valve switch status signal to the fire control center in real time.

Key structure and technical characteristics

Sealing and structural design:

Triple eccentric seal: The valve seat and butterfly plate adopt metal hard seal structure (cobalt-based hard alloy overlay), which still maintains sealing performance at high temperature, and the leakage rate is ≤0.05%;

Double isolation: It is automatically closed by the spring energy storage device when the power is off, and supports manual/electric emergency operation.
‌Material and drive‌:
The valve body material can be 304/316L stainless steel or ductile iron, with a temperature resistance range of -30℃~300℃;
The drive modes include manual, pneumatic, and electric, and the DN50-DN2000 caliber is suitable for different fire protection pipeline requirements.

Advantages of fireproof butterfly valves

Fast response: The electric type supports PLC control, and the full closing time is ≤3 seconds when the fire is triggered, blocking the oxygen supply;

Two-way sealing: The fluid can be effectively sealed when it flows forward or reverse, reducing the installation direction restrictions;

Low maintenance cost: The metal seal is resistant to particle erosion, and daily maintenance only requires lubrication of the valve stem (cycle ≥12 months).
