oil ball valve Description
Oil ball valve is a type of ball valve designed for the oil industry, which achieves opening and closing control of pipeline media by rotating a ball with a circular channel, and is suitable for crude oil transmission, oil refining units, oil and gas field extraction and other scenarios. Its core functions include high-pressure sealing, corrosion resistance and particle erosion resistance to meet the needs of complex oil conditions such as sulphur and sand.
Structural Characteristics
Seal design
Hard seal structure: tungsten carbide coated metal valve seat with zero leakage in both directions (leakage class ISO 5208 Rate A), resistant to long-term scouring of sandy crude oil;
Double packing: the valve stem adopts the combination of graphite braided packing + V-type PTFE ring to prevent crude oil from seeping out (leakage rate ≤ 50ppm).
Material selection
Valve body material: ASTM A216 WCB (conventional working conditions) or duplex stainless steel 2205 (acidic environment with hydrogen sulphide);
Ball coating: supersonic flame spraying (HVOF) tungsten carbide, hardness ≥ HRC60, to extend the service life under the working condition of sandy crude oil.
