Large-diameter ball valves usually refer to ball valves with a nominal diameter ≥ DN300 (12 inches), which are designed for large-scale fluid delivery systems such as oil, natural gas, and water conservancy, and have high flow, high pressure resistance and long life.

‌Typical parameters‌: ‌Diameter range‌: DN300~DN1600 (some models can reach DN2000); ‌Pressure level‌: Covering Class 150~Class 2500, with a maximum pressure resistance of 42MPa; ‌Applicable temperature‌: -196℃~550℃, suitable for extreme working conditions.

Key technologies and structural design‌ ‌Valve body process‌: ‌Fully welded structure‌: Eliminate the risk of flange connection leakage and improve overall strength (such as the DN1600 fully welded ball valve of Koma Valve); ‌Split casting‌: Large-diameter ball valves are cast in two or three pieces, which is easy to install and maintain.
‌Sealing technology‌:

‌Dual piston effect (DPE) valve seat‌: medium pressure pushes the valve seat seal in both directions, leakage rate ≤ISO 5208 Class A standard; ‌Metal hard seal + elastic compensation‌: maintains sealing under high temperature and high pressure conditions, reducing opening and closing torque.

Selection and installation points
Selection guide:
High pressure/corrosive media: fully welded valve body + metal hard seal structure is preferred Frequent opening and closing scenarios: low torque design + pneumatic/electric drive system (such as WKM DYNACENTRIC series) is adopted. Installation specifications:
Support frames need to be set up when installing horizontally to avoid deformation of pipelines due to the weight of the valve body; Welding interfaces need to be preheated to 200~250℃ to prevent thermal stress from damaging sealing components.
