Flanged 3-Way Ball Valves Description
Flange three-way ball valve is a valve that realizes medium diversion, confluence or flow direction switching through a three-way pipeline design. Its core structure consists of a three-piece valve body (left valve body, right valve cover, middle valve body) and a T-type/L-type ball. It is connected to the pipeline through a flange, and the ball rotates 90° to control the flow direction of the medium. The core features include:
Three-way flow channel: supports T-type (three-way diversion) or L-type (right-angle reversing) structure, suitable for complex pipeline systems;
Modular valve body: three-piece flange connection design, easy to disassemble and maintain and replace seals;
Seal form: soft seal (PTFE, rubber) or hard seal (hard alloy), leakage level reaches ANSI VI level.
Working principle and performance advantages
Working principle:
T-type tee: The ball channel is aligned with the three-way port to achieve medium diversion or mixing (such as chemical reactor feeding); L-type tee: The ball rotates 90° to switch the inlet and outlet directions, which is suitable for medium flow direction switching (such as two-way flushing of cleaning pipelines). Performance advantages:
Low flow resistance: Full-diameter design, the fluid resistance coefficient is close to that of a straight pipe, reducing system pressure loss; Multi-flow control: A single valve can achieve diversion, confluence or reversing, simplifying the pipeline layout; Fast response: Manual/pneumatic drive supports ≤1 second opening and closing, suitable for high-frequency operation scenarios.

Installation specifications:
Flange bolts need to be tightened diagonally symmetrically to prevent leakage caused by valve body deformation;
Reserve valve stem operating space (≥90°) to avoid interference with surrounding equipment.
