Common low-temperature valves are divided into low-temperature butterfly valves, low-temperature gate valves, low-temperature ball valves, low-temperature stop valves, low-temperature check valves, low-temperature throttle valves, etc.

Low-temperature valves undergo special low-temperature treatment, and the rough-machined parts are placed in the cooling medium for several hours (2-6 hours) to release stress, ensure the low-temperature performance of the material, and ensure the finishing dimensions to prevent the valve from being damaged during low-temperature conditions. , leakage caused by deformation caused by temperature changes. The assembly of the valve is also different from that of ordinary valves. The parts need to be strictly cleaned to remove any oil to ensure performance.

  • Inspection of cryogenic valves

1. The main parts of ultra-low temperature valves should be cryogenically treated
2. Main parts and welds should be subjected to low-temperature impact tests to ensure that the valve will not be brittle under low-temperature conditions;
3. The valve must be tested at normal temperature, first a hydraulic strength test of 1.5 times the nominal pressure, and then a sealing test of 1.1 times the nominal pressure;
4. After the hydraulic pressure test, the valve must be clean of moisture, grease-free, and kept dry;
5. Each batch of low-temperature valves should be sampled at a certain proportion for low-temperature testing. The low-temperature test must be conducted after 1.5 times the hydraulic pressure strength test;
6. After the valve is tested at low temperature, air should be prevented from entering the valve;
7. After the low-temperature test of the valve, it should be naturally heated or blown with a fan. It is strictly forbidden to use heating or other methods to accelerate the temperature rise of the valve;
8. After the valve naturally heats up after the low-temperature test, tighten the valve fasteners again;
9. When the valve is put into storage, be sure to check the valve switch to ensure that the valve is in a reasonable state;
10. During the storage and transportation of valves, attention should be paid to separating stainless steel and carbon steel valves and making them dustproof, waterproof, oilproof and anti-bump;
11. The flow direction, pressure relief direction and nameplate of the valve should be checked according to the requirements of the design unit.
