Sleeve Type Soft Sealing 3-Way Plug Valve Description
The sleeve-type soft-seal three-way plug valve is a valve type that combines the three-way fluid control function with the sleeve-type soft-seal technology. It realizes fluid diversion, mixing or flow direction switching of three channels by rotating the valve core (plug), and uses elastic soft sealing materials (such as PTFE, rubber) as bushings to ensure two-way zero leakage control of corrosive, viscous or particle-containing media.
Structural features
Three-way plug structure
Multi-channel design: The valve body has one inlet and two outlets (or vice versa), and the fluid path is switched by rotating the plug 90° to achieve L-type (straight-through or right-angle flow) or T-type (three-way diversion) control.
Sleeve ferrule seal: An elastic soft sealing bushing is embedded between the plug and the valve body, and a 360° uniform seal is formed through interference fit, with a leakage rate of ≤0.01%.
Soft seal optimization design
Corrosion-resistant materials: PTFE, F46 and other bushings can withstand strong acids, strong alkalis and particle-containing media, and are suitable for temperatures ranging from -29℃ to 180℃.
Self-cleaning function: The plug scrapes the sealing surface when it rotates to prevent impurities from accumulating and extend the service life.
Working principle
Flow direction switching: Rotate the plug to different angles to align or misalign the valve plug channel port with the valve body channel port to open, close or divert the fluid (such as inlet → outlet A or outlet B).
Sealing mechanism: When closed, the plug fits tightly with the soft sealing bushing, and the medium pressure assists in enhancing the sealing pressure ratio to achieve a two-way zero leakage effect.
