The valve disc is typically made of a composite material of a metal substrate (such as carbon steel or stainless steel) and an elastic sealing material (such as rubber), achieving rapid opening and closing through spring loading or fluid pressure. When the medium flows forward, the fluid pressure pushes the valve disc to rotate around the shaft, opening the passage; when the medium flows backward, the valve disc quickly closes under its own weight, spring force, and reverse fluid pressure, preventing backflow.
Working Principle
The wafer-type butterfly check valve uses the pressure difference of the medium to control the opening and closing of the valve disc:
Forward Flow:
When the medium flows forward, the fluid pressure pushes the valve disc to rotate along the shaft, opening it, allowing the medium to pass smoothly.
Reverse Flow:
When the medium flows backward, the valve disc quickly closes under the action of spring force and reverse pressure, preventing backflow.
