What is the purpose of a floating ball valve

1. Core general use ‌
‌Automatic overflow protection‌

When the liquid level of the liquid storage equipment (water tank, oil tank, etc.) rises to the upper limit of safety, the float drives the valve to close instantly as the liquid level rises, blocking the inflow of the medium to prevent accidents caused by liquid overflow.
‌Maintaining liquid level stability‌

When the liquid level drops, the float sinks and the linkage valve opens to replenish the liquid. When the liquid level rises to the set height, it automatically closes to form a closed-loop control (such as cooling tower water level maintenance and irrigation system water supply).
‌Blocking medium backflow/leakage‌

Specially designed float valves (such as one-way float valves) can seal the outlet when the liquid level is abnormal to prevent the leakage of dangerous media such as oil products and chemicals.

‌Floating roof tank drainage‌: Automatically discharge rainwater and prevent crude oil overflow (the float closes immediately when it contacts oil products);

‌Power Plant/Boiler System‌: Control the water level of deaerator and condenser tank;
‌Municipal Water Supply‌: Liquid level management of water tower and pool (such as 100X float valve).

‌Evaporator Liquid Supply Regulation‌: Maintain the stability of the free liquid surface of the refrigeration equipment and achieve throttling and pressure reduction simultaneously.

‌Sewage Treatment Pool‌: Automatic control of the dosage of the agent;
‌Irrigation System‌: Realize the timed and quantitative water supply of farmland at low cost.

‌Steam system‌: Free float steam trap can prevent water hammer in steam pipelines;
‌Cryogenic liquid control‌: Hollow float structure is suitable for liquefied natural gas (LNG) storage tanks;
‌Solid medium scenario‌: Anti-jamming reinforced float valve is required (refer to fixed/floating ball valve sealing technology).
Note: Standard float valve is preferred for low pressure conditions (<1.6MPa); customized metal hard seal structure is required for high pressure/high temperature scenarios.
