What is integrated high-temperature ball valve

Dec 31, 2025 Leave a message

The integrated high-temperature ball valve is an industrial valve specifically designed for high-temperature operating conditions. Its core structural feature lies in the fact that the valve body is manufactured using a single forging or molding process, rather than being assembled from multiple parts. This integrated structure significantly improves the overall strength and sealing reliability of the valve, making it particularly suitable for harsh working environments with high temperatures, high pressures, and corrosive media.

Working Principle

The working principle of the integrated high-temperature ball valve is relatively simple. When the valve stem rotates, the ball rotates accordingly, thereby changing the state of the fluid passage. When the ball rotates 90 degrees, its passage orifice aligns with or is perpendicular to the passage orifice of the valve body, achieving opening or closing. In the closed state, the ball is pressed tightly against the valve seat by the mechanical pressure of the valve stem, forming a seal and effectively preventing media leakage.

Performance Characteristics

High Temperature Resistance: The integrated high-temperature ball valve is made of high-temperature resistant materials, enabling it to operate stably in high-temperature environments without deformation or damage. The operating temperature range is typically 250~350℃.

Good Sealing Performance: The sealing seat is made of high-strength carbon graphite or other special materials that are high-temperature resistant, wear-resistant, corrosion-resistant, highly resilient, and have good lubricity, ensuring excellent sealing performance.

Low Fluid Resistance: When the valve is fully open, the fluid passage is unobstructed, resulting in low fluid resistance, making it suitable for controlling large flow rates of media.

Easy Operation: The valve opens and closes quickly and easily, facilitating operation and maintenance.

Wide Applicability: Suitable for various media such as steam, oil, heat transfer oil, and acids, and widely used in petroleum, chemical, metallurgical, and hydraulic industries.

Application Areas

Integrated high-temperature ball valves play an important role in many industrial sectors due to their excellent high-temperature resistance and wide range of applications. Specifically, they include:

Petroleum Industry: Used to control the flow of high-temperature oil and gas, ensuring the safe and stable operation of the system.

Chemical Industry: Used to control the transportation of high-temperature corrosive media, preventing media leakage and environmental pollution.

Power Plant Industry: Used for the control and regulation of high-temperature steam pipelines, ensuring the normal operation of power plant equipment.

Metallurgical Industry: Used for the flow control of high-temperature molten metal, ensuring the smooth operation of the production process.

Maintenance and Care

To ensure the normal operation of integrated high-temperature ball valves and extend their service life, regular maintenance and care are required:

Regular Inspection: Inspect the valve body and stem for signs of corrosion, cracks, or other damage. Also, check the valve's sealing performance to ensure there are no leaks.

Cleaning and Maintenance: Keep the valve exterior clean, removing dust and oil. Internally, the valve ball and seat should be cleaned regularly, if possible, to prevent the accumulation of impurities.

Lubrication Maintenance: For manually operated, integrated high-temperature ball valves, regular lubrication of the valve stem and gearbox is necessary to reduce wear and ensure smooth valve operation.

Fastener Inspection: Inspect all fasteners, such as screws and nuts, to ensure they are not loose. Loose fasteners may cause deterioration of valve performance or leakage.
