1. Basic definition
Horizontal lift check valve is a type of lift check valve installation. Its valve disc moves vertically to the valve seat. It is opened by the thrust of the unidirectional flow of the medium and closed by its own weight or reverse pressure. It is designed for horizontal pipelines.
2. Structural features
Valve disc and guide structure:
The valve disc is disc-shaped or conical. The vertical movement trajectory is controlled by the guide sleeve or guide rail to ensure precise fit with the valve seat.
The flow channel inside the valve body is linear, and the medium flow direction is consistent with the movement direction of the valve disc to reduce turbulence.
Sealing form:
Metal hard seal (such as surfacing Stellite alloy) or soft seal (rubber/PTFE), the sealing performance is better than the swing check valve.
Working principle and applicable scenarios
1. Working principle
Forward flow: The medium pressure pushes the valve disc up, the valve opens, and the flow resistance is small.
Reverse flow: When the medium pressure disappears, the valve disc quickly drops and closes under the action of gravity or spring to block the backflow.
2. Applicable scenarios
Small-diameter pipeline (DN≤50): Due to its compact structure, it is suitable for pipeline systems with limited space.
High-pressure or clean medium: Excellent sealing performance, often used in chemical, pharmaceutical and other occasions with high requirements for leakage prevention.
