Welded Electric 3-Piece Ball Valve

Electric three-piece welded ball valve is a type of ball valve that uses welded connections, with its operating principle based on the rotational movement of the ball to control the medium in the pipeline.

The valve body of a electric three-piece welded ball valve is divided into three sections, bolted together. The ball is installed inside the valve body and connected to the external operating device via the valve stem. The welded connection method involves welding the inlet and outlet ends of the valve body to the pipeline, creating a seamless integrated unit between the valve and the pipeline.

When opening the valve, the operator rotates the handwheel or electric actuator, causing the valve stem to rotate. The valve stem transfers torque to the ball, rotating it 90 degrees around its axis. The ball's channel aligns with the inlet and outlet channels of the valve body, allowing free flow of the medium.

To close the valve, the handwheel or electric actuator is rotated in the opposite direction, causing the valve stem to rotate the ball another 90 degrees. The ball's surface re-engages tightly with the valve seat, blocking the inlet and outlet channels of the valve body and stopping the flow of the medium.

Three-piece welded ball valves are widely used in industries such as petroleum, chemical, and power. For example, in the petrochemical industry, they can control the flow and pressure of various chemical media; in the power industry, they are used for medium control in boiler systems.
