Ventilation Butterfly Valve Working Principle

By rotating the valve plate (typically within the range of 0° to 90°), the flow area between the valve plate and the valve body is changed:

  • Fully Open: The valve plate is parallel to the airflow direction, resulting in minimal flow resistance and maximum flow rate.
  • Closed: The valve plate is perpendicular to the airflow direction, completely cutting off the flow.
  • Regulated: The valve plate is at the intermediate angle; flow rate is adjusted by changing the opening degree.

  • Ventilation Systems: Such as factory ventilation, underground parking garage exhaust, tunnel ventilation, etc.
  • Air Conditioning Systems: Regulate fresh or return air flow to control indoor temperature and air quality.
  • Environmental Engineering: Gas flow regulation in flue gas desulfurization, denitrification, dust removal, and other systems.
  • Industrial Pipelines: Gas transmission pipelines in chemical, power, and metallurgical industries.
