Trunnion Mounted Side Entry Ball Valves

Sep 04, 2025 Leave a message

Side-entry trunnion-mounted ball valve‌ is a commonly used valve type, with its core component-the ball-fixed in the valve body by two bearings (trunnions) and sealed against the valve seat. This design enables the ball valve to demonstrate excellent performance and stability in high-pressure or large-diameter applications. Compared to floating ball valves, trunnion-mounted ball valves require less torque during opening and closing while being able to withstand greater pressure differentials and reduce seat wear, thereby extending the valve's service life. Consequently, it is widely used in industrial fields such as petroleum, natural gas, chemical, and power industries to control fluid flow in pipelines.
