Rising Stem Globe Valves

Sep 03, 2025 Leave a message

Rising Stem Globe Valve‌ operates by rotating the handwheel to open or close the valve. When the medium flows from left to right, the valve moves from right to left, and vice versa. Due to its relatively short opening and closing stroke, it is highly suitable for ‌cutting off, connecting, and throttling‌ applications.

In piping systems, it primarily serves ‌diverting or merging‌ functions. For example, installing a steam trap far from the pump utilizes this feature to prevent water from flowing back into the boiler through the pump suction port, thereby protecting the equipment from damage.
