 Introduction to Swing Check Valve

Swing check valve is a common liquid control device, which is commonly found in the industrial field. It can prevent backflow in the fluid and ensure the normal flow of liquid in the pipeline. The structure of the swing check valve is relatively simple, consisting of a valve body, a valve disc and a spring. The valve disc can be quickly closed under the action of the liquid to prevent the liquid from flowing back. With the development of industry, the application of swing check valves is becoming more and more extensive.

Installation method of swing check valve

There are three main installation methods of swing check valve: inverted installation, horizontal installation and vertical installation.

1. Inverted installation

Inverted installation refers to the method of installing the valve disc upward. The advantage of this method is that it can save pipeline space, but there are also some disadvantages. First, inverted installation makes leakage and blockage problems more obvious. Because the valve disc is facing upward, if there are debris or other substances in the liquid, it will be directly stuck on the valve, thus affecting the use. The second is the difficulty of maintenance. If the valve needs to be repaired or replaced, it is necessary to enter the pipeline from above, which is very troublesome. Therefore, inverted installation is only suitable for some special cases and is generally not recommended.

2. Horizontal installation

Horizontal installation refers to the way the valve flap is installed horizontally. This method is the most common one, with simple installation and convenient maintenance. However, it should be noted that the valve flap cannot be placed in a horizontal position, but should be slightly tilted. This can improve the sealing performance of the valve and prevent leakage problems.

3. Vertical installation

Vertical installation refers to the way the valve flap is installed vertically. This method is suitable for situations where the liquid flow direction is perpendicular to the valve and the pipeline. Vertical installation is more stable than horizontal installation, and the safety requirements for the pipeline are also higher. However, vertical installation requires attention to the sealing surface of the valve should be tightly fitted, otherwise it is easy to cause leakage and blockage problems.

Precautions for the installation of swing check valves

1. During installation, the pipeline should be clean and free of impurities, otherwise it is easy to affect the service life of the valve.

2. The valve flap should be installed in the correct direction, and the valve flap should be perpendicular to the pipeline to ensure normal circulation of the liquid.

3. The interface of the valve should be tight and reliable in pressure to prevent air leakage or liquid leakage.

4. After installation, pressure testing is required to ensure the sealing and safety performance of the valve.

5. Valve maintenance needs to be carried out regularly to ensure service life and safety performance.
