The main structure of a threaded ball valve includes the valve body, ball, stem, handwheel, and seals. The valve body is the main part of the valve and is used to connect to the pipeline; the ball is located inside the valve body and can rotate freely to control the flow of fluid; the stem is used to operate the ball; the handwheel is usually located at one end of the stem for manual rotation; and the seals ensure that fluid does not leak when closed.

Based on the connection method, threaded ball valves can be divided into two types: internal thread ball valves and external thread ball valves. Internally threaded ball valves have their threads located inside the valve body, allowing direct connection to pipes with external threads; while externally threaded ball valves have their threads located outside the valve body, allowing connection to pipes with internal threads.
Depending on their structural form, threaded ball valves can also be classified into two-piece and three-piece types.
