I. Structural Differences
Flange Globe Valve
Also known as a flange shut-off valve, it primarily consists of a valve body, bonnet, disc, and valve stem. The valve body and bonnet are connected via bolts and nuts. The disc rotates around the valve stem to control opening and closing.
Flange Check Valve
Also called a flange non-return valve, its structure resembles that of a flange globe valve but includes a disc that cannot rotate-it only allows one-way opening and closing.
II. Operational Principle Differences
Flange Globe Valve
Controls flow by rotating the disc. When closed, the disc seals against the valve seat to block fluid flow entirely. Thus, it is used in scenarios requiring full flow shutoff.
Flange Check Valve
Operates via one-way disc movement: the disc automatically opens under forward flow pressure and instantaneously closes to prevent backflow. It is designed solely to block reverse flow.
III. Application Scenarios
Flange Globe Valve
Suitable for flow control or complete shutoff, such as in water treatment, petrochemicals, and pharmaceuticals.
Flange Check Valve
Used to prevent backflow, e.g., in water supply, sewage systems, and firefighting pipelines.
