Carbon Steel Tilting Disc Check Valve

Oct 28, 2025 Leave a message

Carbon Steel Tilting Disc Check Valve‌ is a commonly used valve type designed to control unidirectional fluid flow in pipelines. Its name derives from the inclined disc design on the valve body.

The valve typically consists of a body, disc, and stem. The body serves as the main component with an inlet and outlet port, allowing fluid to enter through the inlet, pass through the disc-controlled flow path, and exit through the outlet. The disc features an inclined design, enabling smooth opening or closing in response to fluid flow direction. The stem is the mechanism for controlling disc movement, operated either manually or automatically.

Working principle:
The swivel disc check valve operates through free sliding of the disc under fluid pressure. When fluid flow aligns with the disc's inclined design, pressure pushes the disc open, allowing unobstructed passage. Conversely, if flow reverses against the disc's incline, fluid pressure forces the valve closed, preventing backflow.

Key advantages:

Wide applicability‌: Suitable for liquids, gases, and fluids containing suspended solid particles.

Low-pressure loss‌: When aligned with flow, the valve fully opens with minimal flow resistance.

High reliability‌: The inclined disc design reduces fluid impact and vibration, lowering failure risks.

Simple operation‌: Can be controlled manually or automatically.

Product Features:

  • Low Flow Resistance‌: The valve adopts a large eccentricity and multi-eccentric structure, with a butterfly-shaped disc design that minimizes flow resistance.
  • Controlled Closing‌: A hydraulic damping device ensures gradual closure of the disc, effectively preventing damage to sealing surfaces.
  • Inclined Seat Design‌: The short closing stroke and time reduce water hammer effects, protecting pumps from potential damage.
  • High Flow Efficiency‌: The mid-body flow channel area exceeds 40% of the nominal diameter, with minimal pressure drop and head loss after media passes through the disc. Compared to conventional check valves, it significantly reduces energy consumption.
  • Energy-Saving Operation‌: The inclined seat design allows a full opening/closing angle of 40°, with a stroke less than half that of swing check valves. The short opening/closing time enhances energy efficiency.
  • Oil Cylinder Buffer Mechanism‌: Equipped with a bottom-mounted (or top-mounted) hydraulic cylinder buffer, the disc begins gradual closure 5° before fully closing. The flexible disc shaft rotation further improves energy savings.
  • Maintenance-Free Operation‌: The valve operates without external signals or human intervention. The independent hydraulic damping system can be adjusted based on working conditions without oil pressure or electricity, requiring no maintenance. This design is eco-friendly, energy-efficient, and reduces operational costs.
  • Versatile Installation‌: The swivel disc triple-offset hard-seal check valve is suitable for horizontal or vertical pipeline installation.
