Stainless steel bevel gear gate valves are an important type of valve. The gate is the opening and closing element of the stainless steel gate valve. The direction of the gate's movement is perpendicular to the direction of fluid flow. Gate valves cannot be used as regulating or throttling valves because they can only be fully open or fully closed. The gate has two sealing surfaces. In commonly used wedge gate valves, the two sealing surfaces form a wedge shape, and the wedge angle varies depending on the valve parameters, typically 50°.

There are two types of gates for wedge gate valves: one can be considered as a single piece, called a rigid gate; the other is called a flexible gate, which is made to produce slight deformation to improve its manufacturability and compensate for deviations in the sealing surface angle during processing.

Working Principle of Bevel Gear Stainless Steel Gate Valve

The working principle of a bevel gear stainless steel gate valve is that the rotating bevel gear transmission mechanism moves the gate up and down, thereby controlling the opening and closing of the pipeline. When the gate is in the closed state, a seal is formed between the gate and the valve seat, preventing the flow of the medium. When the gate is in the open state, the medium can flow freely. The bevel gear transmission mechanism can be manually or electrically controlled, allowing for rapid opening, closing, and adjustment of the gate.

1. Reasonable design, reliable sealing, smooth flow path, and low flow resistance coefficient.

2. Both ends of the branch pipe are welded; valve opening and closing are controlled by a gear transmission device.

3. Valve closing is mainly achieved through a bevel gear mechanism on the valve cover, an adjustable double-type single gate, a universal joint, and a clamping ring, with the valve body guiding the valve's upward and downward movement.

4. Employs a wedge-type elastic gate or a rigid wedge-type single gate structure; rolling bearings are used for medium and large diameter valves, ensuring flexible opening and closing.

5. The valve stem undergoes tempering and surface nitriding treatment, providing excellent corrosion resistance, scratch resistance, and wear resistance.

6. Can adopt various piping flange standards and flange sealing surface types to meet various engineering needs and user requirements.

7. A complete range of valve body materials is available; packing and gaskets can be rationally selected according to actual working conditions or user requirements, making it suitable for various pressure, temperature, and media conditions.

8. Pressure self-tightening sealing mechanism: The wedge-shaped sealing ring is pressed by the medium pressure to achieve sealing. The higher the medium pressure, the better the sealing performance.

 

Installation, Use, and Maintenance Methods for Bevel Gear Stainless Steel Knife Gate Valves

1. Before installation, inspect the valve cavity and sealing surfaces for dirt or sand.

2. Tighten all bolts evenly.

3. Ensure the packing is properly tightened to guarantee both sealing and smooth gate opening.

4. Before installation, verify the valve model, connection dimensions, and media flow direction to ensure consistency with valve requirements.

5. Allow sufficient space for valve actuation during installation.

6. Wiring of the actuator must follow the wiring diagram.

7. Knife gate valves require regular maintenance. Avoid impacts and pressure to prevent affecting the seal.
