API 600 carbon steel electric gate valve is an automated device that opens and closes valves via an electric actuator. Its core structure consists of an electric actuator assembly and the gate valve body.
The working principle is as follows: After receiving control signals, the electric actuator drives the stem to move the gate up and down, enabling on/off or flow regulation of pipeline media. Unlike solenoid valves (which rely on electromagnetic coils for rapid switching), electric gate valves use motor-driven mechanisms, featuring adjustable opening, smooth operation, and suitability for analog control scenarios.

Sealing System
Employs pressure self-tightening sealing or body-bonnet gasket sealing to ensure zero leakage under high-pressure conditions.
The sealing surfaces between the disc and seat use plasma-sprayed cobalt-chromium-tungsten hard alloy, achieving hardness above HRC60. This design enhances wear resistance, reduces scoring, and extends service life by 3-5 times.
Stem & Disc Design
The stem is made of nitriding steel with surface nitriding treatment, increasing hardness to HV850 and offering superior corrosion resistance compared to standard stainless steel.
The disc features a double-gate structure with a universal top in the middle, automatically adjusting sealing surface alignment. The interchangeable disc design during maintenance reduces operational costs.
